hi well i am a cheerleader and have been for 4 years now going onto 5.i wasnt that good at my jumps.so wat i did was i worked on my splits and strattles.bacicly i just worked on my flexibility all to gether.and within a few days i had my cheer jumps down.but occasionally i mess up and fall but i just walk it off.plus i lagh alot and all you have to do when you fall is learn to lagh at yourself.even if its on floor.edventialy you will get flexible anof that you will get your jumps down and you will be a great cheerleader.

stretch and do legs kicks v-ups lift legs and stretch its not hard an the day of tryouts don't let the judges see your nervousness just don't even think about it and remember to smile and be loud and sharp and get into the music an then your almost sure to make it!!!!!!!!!!=:0)=

A1: Purchase 1lb ankle weights and practise your jumps with these on. You can also do leg lifts withcontrolling your leg by kicking one leg up and bringing it down slowly.

A2: i would stretch out your legs every morning and right before you go to bed, and work out your legs. you also need to keep doing your jumps over and over again and even have a friend videotape you doing a couple of your jumps and you can be the one to critique yourself.

A way to improve your jumps are pretty simple. Whether it's the simple toe-touch or a hurdler, this is one way to it looking better. What most of my past coaches have told me is to: -Sit in a straddle position and bend to one side, then the other.

-Then sit in a straddle position while watching TV or doing homework for a period of time.

-Do at least 10 kicks (as high as you can go) on each leg.

Doing either of these will defiantly improve any kind of jump

Stretch, stretch and stretch! Try sitting on the floor in your jump position; for example, toe touch, put your hands into fists, and put them in between your legs then raise your legs as high as you can. Do it ten times per jump daily.
