If you look on the right side of the parking brake it'll be a metal lever. But you have to get down and look then just push it with your finger but be careful cause it release fast
UPDATE:
For older DeVilles the lever is to the left about 3 inches from where the pedal should be when it's released but as the other write mentioned be VERY CAREFUL as it returns to its original position extremely fast.
Parking brake will not release even manual will not work on 1994 cadillac deville
Yes, connected to the parking brake assembly is a little black lever, which when pulled will manually release the parking brake.
The 1992 GMC parking brake release lever can be found on the bottom of the dashboard. Pulling the lever towards the passenger compartment will release the parking brake.
should be a release lever next to the e- brake padel
It releases automatically when you shift out of park. If you have to do it manually under the parking brake is a silver handle that releases it.
Start the car and put it in gear.
i dont think its the actuator cause it works manually,so can it be a vaccum prob, where do i start
Put your foot on the brake, pu the car into drive and the parking break should disengage. if not, push on the parking break while holding the break in drive.
The park release lever is right above the parking brake. I need to push in on my parking brake a little and then pull on the release for it to release it.
The park brake should automatically release when the car is put into drive. If it doesn't, look beside the parking brake pedal and you should find a small metal lever. Pull it, but make sure that your hand is clear. It should release the park brake instantly. Then have a mechanic diagnose why it isn't releasing automatically.
Get under the driver side of the suburban by the driver door and their should be a linkage that you can loosen
if the release on the left side of bottom of dash won't work, then there is a little switch on the side of the park brake pedal arm you can pull. it may take a sec to find, but it should b there! This worked on my son's 1995 deville also! Thank you!!
