If fuel injected it is in the tank. If not, it is on the side of the engine.
Its in the Fuel Tank, remove the passenger side rear tire, and you should be able to access the tank pretty easy from there.

It's in the back, passenger side, mounted to the fuel tank under a plastic cover. It faces towards the passenger wheel well.

well an 87 daytona holds 26 in the tank an 3 in the reserve
mine holds 35 but i have a fiberglass tank. could have been replaced
