How do you persuade your parents to let you go to a music festival?

2) Say if you let me go this once, i will buy the present and rsvp.

3) Then you tell your parents that my friend really reliys on me and i don't want to let her down.

4) Your fourth option is to cry for ages and mumble to yourself

That depends on how firm your parents are about you not going and how vunerable your parents are to changing their minds. If your parents are firm about you not going, there is probably nothing you can do to change their minds. If they are not firm about it, you migt change their minds by showing responsibilities in other things, or sitting down with them and talking with them about it. You might also ask them why they do not want you to go in order to understand their position.
