**Useful tip:
On your first attempt, program a frequency with a high amount of traffic or one that is always broadcasting (such as your local NOAA weather channel) to be sure that you have followed the directions correctly on your first run-through and are confident in being able to repeat them.**
1) Press "Manual" key. Scanner channel indicator should stop scanning and remain lit on one channel. It does not matter which one, as you will select the channel to program in another step. To keep things simple, you might want to use the "Skip" key after pressing "Manual" to light up the channel you are planning to program. This is not necessary but does keep the channel you are programming and the channel displayed on the panel the same, possibly eliminating confusion.
2) Program the desired frequency by using the number keysand period (.) key. Be sure you hear a beep after each keypress. If you do not, the number was not accepted and you will have to press it again. Also, this scanner only allows up to 3 digits on either side of the period (.). I.e.453.975 would be valid, while 460.6125 would not. See end of instructions for valid frequency ranges for this scanner.
3) When you are done entering the desired frequency, hold the "Enter" key until a beep is heard. Release "Enter" key once beep is heard. Channel selector light will now be flashing. You may also hear radio traffic on the entered frequency at this point if someone is transmitting on that frequency. If you attempt to program a frequency NOT supported by the R1060, the scanner will constantly beep at you. At this point you can enter another frequency using step 2 (while it is beeping.) To exit programming mode while it is beeping at you, press the "Skip" key. See end of instructions for valid frequency ranges for this scanner.
4) Press the desired channel you wish to store this frequency in (1-10) using the number keys. To store in channel 10, press and hold the "0/10" key. As with the step above, hold the desired number until a beep is heard. Release key after beep is heard.
5) Channel is now programmed. If you attempt to enter a frequency not supported by the R1060 your changes will not be made and the channel will either be empty or will revert to the previously stored frequency. I have seen both happen (perhaps some units had different operating characteristics during it's production run).
This scanner's programmable frequency range is:
30-50MHz / 146 - 174MHz / 450 - 512 MHz
The frequencies listed are the ranges available on every factory production unit.
These ranges are modifiable with easy to replace crystals made specifically for this unit. Where to obtain these is beyond the scope of this article.

How do you program regency d300. the model number d300.
Hit manual til u get to the channel you want to program and type in your freq. and hit enter
You simply press manual on the desired channel to program. Enter the frequency and press enter. You cam set the channel to be delayed (so it doesn't start scanning again) at any point. Hope this helps.
One should program a Regency Scanner with the model number r1077 by first turning the device's power on. Then press the manual button until the channel wanted is shown. Once the channel number is shown hit enter, which will make the frequency channel that number. Then one can go to the next channel number and hit hold, or delay, to hold the number for dispatch. In order to lock certain channels one should hit the lock button when the channel number comes up instead of enter, and this will keep that particular channel locked.
The car is the scanner. Depending on the make and model a new key less FOB can be programmed by pushingcertain buttons on the car in a certain sequence. What year make and model are you trying to program.
