DISCONNECT THE BLOWER DAMPER CONTROL CABLE( UNDER DRIVER'S DASH,RIGHT OF GAS PEDAL, APPROX. 2"-3" AROUND, BLACK, PLASTIC W/ PLASTIC CABLE POKING OUT THE SIDE- TURN COUNTER-CLOCKWISE.) JAM WHICHEVER TOOL YOU USE INTO THE FOUR HOLES( TWO ON LEFT-TWO ON RIGHT) IN THE BLACK PLASTIC DASH PANEL THAT ALSO HOUSES THE A/C-HEATER CONTROLS. PULL ON EDGES OF RADIO-A/C PANEL EVENLY. BE AWARE THAT NO "SLACK" IS OFFERED AS FACTORY OPTIONS, SO BE CAREFULL NOT TO DAMAGE WIRING HARNESS.

You must buy a Ford Factory Stereo Removal Tool. then pull the radio forward and unplug the wiring in the back.

gently pull the facia at the top (above the vents) the are onlt clipped in, the whole facia will then pull forward, you will see four scews beside radio remove them, pull out radio and disconnect rear plugs

In my 2000 Toyota Corolla CE fuse for the radio is located at the back side of the radio, you need to pull out the radio and you will see the fuse on the back side of it between wires
Answer I have the same problem... This can be fixed by turning on ign. and pull the fuse for the radio, put the fuse back in and insert CD, pull fuse for five seconds and put back in CD should play. Use menus to factory default system and ask to reset.

FORD RADIO REMOVALYou should purchase a set of ford radio removal tools .. they slide in on both sides of the radio in the two holes.Once you insert them push in on them about half an inch and you should feel them catch,,then pry out ward slightly on both tools this will release the radio and pull forward .. your done.
It depends on the model of the ford radio and year of the car. if its a slightly older ford there should be 2 small holes on each side of the radio where you can insert some u-shaped release keys (which you can buy from somewhere like halfords) and you can then pull the radio out. if its a newer ford with the 6000 model radio in there should be 4 slots on the outside which again you need release keys for.
