First of all, you could probably just take it back to the pet store. If you really need to kill it, the most humane way is to add some clove oil to the water. It will kill the fish quickly and painlessly.

∙ 11y agoIf you have a gas stove you could drop it in the fire and burn it to death. Or if you don't have a gas stove then you could use a lighter and light it. It burns either way.
