Hi there: There are two black nylon tabs/straps (one for each section of the back seat) which hang down under the back deck (located in the top area of the trunk where the speakers are mounted). They are a bit difficult to see and can be overlooked very easily if you don't know they are there. Just pull them down and push the seat forward (you need to keep them pulled down while you push).
