Typically you use a funnel and pour it down the dipstick tube.
This person obviously does not have a 2005 Tacoma, as the vehicle does not have a dipstick. It is a sealed transmission. The owners manual advises never to change the Transmission Fluid but, if you just want to do it, there is a fill plug on the side of the transmission itself. The drain plug is a two-stage design also. Of course, you will take it out in order to drain the fluid. However, after snugging it back in, back it out just a little. This opens the fluid check tube inside without draining any fluid. Fill from the fill hole until it starts to drip out of the drain plug. Tighten the plug back all the way, replace the fill plug, and you are done. These instuctions are available (with illustrations) on the Toyota tech site.
