Apparently there is a white sticker on the under side of the bonnet on the driver's side that looks like a bar code (so I'm told). The last 4 digits are the code for the radio. Our car doesn't have the sticker so it hasn't helped us.

I have an 89 xjs, I'n sure it's the same. Turn on the ignition or start the car. Turn on the radio and enter the code using the station selection buttons on the radio. You will have to reset any stations that were preset previously.
The instructions will be dependent on the type of radio fitted, but these are the instructions for the factory fit Clarion stereo from my 1989 XJS Coupe
CATS:
The following instructions are necessary in order for your stereo radio cassette to start functioning. Follow the operation below to start your set
- Start Your Set (Release CATS)
1. Turn on the set by turning the volume control clockwise
2. Input your CATS code number as stated on the Credit Card by pressing the numbers on the Preset Switches. The input number will show on the digital display
3. When the correct CATS code number is input, the digital display will change to a radio frequency
- In case you have Input the Incorrect Code Number
An incorrect code number cannot start the set. Follow the instruction below to start the set (if you noticed the mistake half way, complete inputting by entering any numbers to have four digits on the display, then follow the instruction below).
1. Keep pressing the CATS switch for three seconds. The incorrect number on the display will disappear
2. Input the correct CATS number
Contact your local Jaguar dealer.
If you provide the Vehicle Identification Number, it is very likely that they can look up the code in their system. Coverage isn't 100% but the later the car the more likely they will have the code.
I have a 1990 3.6 xjs, and purely by chance I happened to glance up at the underside of the boot and there to my amazement was a little factory fitted sticker with my cats code on it!
Hope yours is too!
Bring your VIN and ID to Jaguar dealer (parts) and ask for the radio code.
You have to call the dealer and give them your VIN each car is unique.
or get Jaguar radio codes online at:

I have a 1994 XJS and my radio code is under the driver side ashtray. See if that's where you'll find it on your 93. Good luck!
Give any Jag dealer the last 6 digits of your V.I.N., they can look it up on they're computerized records and give you the 4 digit code within seconds, for free. I just did it 2 days ago.
Any Jaguar Dealership should be able to get the code for you, but they will probably make a charge to do so, and they will probably want to see documents to prove that you own the car (and therefore the radio in it) to show that you are not dealing with a stolen radio from someone elses car.
have you checked to see if the antenna is coming up all the way? they tend to get stuck if not lubed regularly.
there are buttons on the face of the radio itself that are numbered 1 thru 5, and your car would have come from the factory with a 5 digit radio code, if you can locate the small book that is for the radio someone should have made a record of it on the inside cover, otherwise there is no way of putting the code in unless you already have the 5 digit number, the number was given to the original owner in the form of a card for a wallet from what I hear.
Your oxygen sensor is bad, or the connection may be corroded. Luckily this is a part you can replace yourself. It unscrews from the exhaust manifold and is a relatively easy fix. I would buy it online, not at a dealer. Good luck! Seems to contradict page 243 of 1990 Jaguar Factory Drivers Handbook , under Engine Diagnostics Checks: FAULT CODE 26 is described as "air leak" and FUNCTION descriptor states "Look for poor feedback control in lean direction". ??????
I install a new starter and lost my radio, and i have no code4 it, I have a 1995 XJ6 can anyone help
EGR Circuit (Faulty system operation)
230
Exhaust gas recirculation valve fault
No! 93 and 94 will interchange though.
On a 1990 thru 1994 XJ6 it means the Idle Speed Control Valve (coil 2) has an open or short circuit
A code 37 on a Jaguar XJ6 means either your EGR solenoid or EGR valve is bad. Most of the time the valve is simply stuck open and it is a very easy fix.
This means Idle speed control motor (ISC) or valve
They are inboard next to differential
not sure if this will help but, try mademan.com/mm/how-install-head-gasket-1996-jaguar-xj6.html
description = throttle pot or associated wiring. function = looks for throttle pot resistance out of range.
my 94 xj6 has a switch in the center console glove box
