How do you put the interior engine cover on a Ford Aerostar back in after removal?

If it has a center cupholder/console, it should have a Phillips screw in the middle in order to attach it. So, you must unscrew the console, replace the engine cover (or "shell") and reinstall the console. Be careful as to not to fasten the shell latches in the farther loops of the cockpit locks, since they may lock in on one side or the other, but they won´t allow the other end to fasten or even reach in. You might be tempted to force them by using a lever-like screwdriver or the like, but it would damage such latches and thus smoke, dust and a lot of noise would invade the cockpit. If it doesn´t snap in easily by hand, it is not properly in place.

It depends on the model year and size of engine cover based on the engine underneath. For 1996 and newer, you generally have to remove the passenger seat in order to get the cover out of the way.

if your talking about the engine cover inside the van under the dash! on each Sid eof it back under the dash there are 2 latches on each side un latch them and carefully pull it out!

Remove the Phillips screw in the cup holder. Reomver the holder. Release the four latches on the engine compartment cover. Rotate the cover down and to the rear of the van. Tight fit
