How do you put together a trombone dont just tell me your a trombone player and use words use pictures too use pictures and steps?
A typical slide trombone has 4 parts. The bell part which is the biggest part where the sound will explode from the instrument. On the bottom curved part of the bell is a bolt/screw type mechanism where the slide connects. There are 2 parts to the slide. The inside and the outside. There will also be a small locking mechanism on the outer part of the slide that you can lock into place so the slide will not fall out of place when not in use. Then there is the mouth piece. Do not slam the mouth piece into place. Place it there gently because it will cost a fortune to have it removed.
I could not find any pictures of the individual components, but here is a site you can use as a guideline. http://www.eastmanwinds.com/trombones/trombones.htm
