If it is broken, remove the trim panel and replace it.

If the vehicle came from the factory equipped with a left-hand sideview mirror, it must be on the vehicle.
you can buy just the glass mirror part at most auto part stores its held on with silicon
It is your automatic mirror cable.
Go to Auto parts/supply store or glass store and get special adhesive made for that and reattach
Use PL 300.
actually... all you have to do is go to your nearest auto part store and buy the kit to reattach the rearview mirror to the front window... its really easy or you can just super glue it back on
there will be a panel on the inside of the door, it might have some hidden screws. Remove this and you should see some nuts or screws holding the mirror on, remove these and the mirror should fall off.
In the reverse way you took it off, of course.
You will need apply steel glue to reattach the drivers mirror on a 1998 toyota avalon. You can purchase steel glue at walmart or any auto supply shop.
Remove the cover on the interior by prying then remove the three bolts with a 10 mm ratchet and pull it out.
