What do you do when you forget the PS network password?

Passwords are not sent to your email address and you have found that the link for a new password requires a date of birth. You should have used an actual birth date so you would remember it. Your only option is to create a new account since you learned that you need the birthday to get a new Password link or if you want you can go to the customer service department see related link

Side note for individual looking for a PSN account password set by there parents

If you just want to learn your parents password for the account you could get the link if you knew the birth date and Email account number, but would be caught because the password would no longer work for them because it has been changed to a new password by you.

You then need to know your birth date and the email account that you used to create the account. This becomes a problem only for those who did not use a valid birthdate when creating the account.
