If you are noticing edema in the arms and feet you may have non-pitting edema. However, Edema can be caused by a multitude of diseases or complications from said diseases. Typically edema is present in people with Hypertension (High Blood Pressure) or people with CHF (Congestive Heart Failure). There are many more reasons that can cause swelling but as mentioned above it is always better to consult your doctor to have tests run.

Your question is a good one. I have continued swelling and am 6 months post op. I wear compression hose and use a compression machine, and keep my leg elevated. I have been told I may have lymphadema. Of course the surgeon says nothing is wrong it will just take time. I can't seems to get a straight answer. You can try the above and it may help unless of course you had recent surgery. Good luck
