Remove bezel/trim from radio. There are no screws, it snaps off. Begin to loosen the trim from the bottom. Now, there should be two bolts (10 MM), one is on the bottom left and the other is usually on the top right. Unscrew these two bolts and slowly slide the radio out. There will be two plugs in the back, one black and one gray. Carefully unplug these. Now, unplug the antenna. Now you should be able to completely remove the radio. When you go to buy the replacement factory radio remember that the 96 Concorde uses the old style-90's wiring...has two plugs, a black one and a gray one. You must use the older style radio if going with the OEM Chrysler radio on a 96 Concorde

My 96 Concorde had the same problem. I found a bad ground and that helped a great deal. After looking at how the headlight lens had faded I but new one for about $120.00. replacing the lens took about an hour and a half.
The ignition coil is inside the distributor behind the cap. Remove the distributor cap screws, remove the cap and you will see the coil.
