If the crank shaft is in the engine and if the engine is in the car I would put the car up on jack stands ( for safety). Remove the water pump pulley. That will allow you to remove the v-belt easily. Remove the plastic mud shield on the passenger side of the engine. Then remove the crankshaft pulley ( it is probably already off and you are working on the woodruff key that was indexing the crank pully). Make sure that you rotate the engine such that the key is pointing down. Be sure that you stuff a rag in around the snout of the crankshaft such that when the key breaks out of the keyway it cannot fall into the oil pan. The way I have gotten stubborn keys out of keyways was to go after them with a small hammer and punch. I try to worm the punch under the key which will lift the end of the key and make it easier to grasp and remove. Frankly I have never failed to get a key out of a keyway. Generally they are only a slight interference fit.
it is located on the head

Right hand. But, it is torqued to about 200ft lbs. It will take more than a breaker bar to remove it.

how can I remove adrum brake from geo metro 1992
On my "99" it is 17 MM. I've never changed a seal.
you have to remove the head first.....
The timing marks on a 1993 Geo Metro are located on the on the camshaft and crankshaft sprockets. They must be aligned together to ensure proper initial timing.
What one of the 16 trim panels I can think of on the Metro And what year, Because it matters!

Fall Out Boy and Metro Station are the ones i know of as of now.
Remove the belt from your 1999 Chevy Metro water pump. Remove the water pump return hose. Remove the water pump retaining bolts. Reverse the process to replace the water pump.
Hi there, You can find the Engine Crankshaft sensor for a 1998 Chevy Metro in the bottom front of the oilpan. Note, it goes thru the oilpan but, it's Not part of the oilpan or in the "oil chamber" itself. It's held in place with two (2) bolts. No oil will come out when you remove it. There is one (1) electrical connector on the sensor. Note, this can be easily mistaken for the oil pressure sensor. Note, they are prone to getting "dirty", so clean it off after removing. Good luck. John
Unfortunately, you have to remove the transmission.
im trying to find out the same thing
I am tring to remove and install a water pump on a Chevy metro 2001 lsi.I would like some advice on how to remove and install a water pump.Thanks.

Remove the cables from the alternator. Remove the wiring harness. Remove the alternator belt. Remove the retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your new alternator.
There should be a mark on your crankshaft pulley and several marks on the lower timing cover. You may have to clean them off in order to see them.
a pry bar
Hey Lee==Simply remove the hindge bolts and remove the door. Some are welded on and you sometimes can remove the hinge pins. GoodluckJoe
