first of all you need to take of screws on the coner of the bumper and the inside then under the bumper once you have done that there are 4 screws that hold the headlight on the bottom of the light on the passanger side it is easy to take off but on the driver side you need to go under the car between the radiator then you must unplug the headlight and it comes out i just did for my 95 it should be the same for 97.

Begin by removing the wiring harness from the back of your headlight. Remove the headlight assembly retaining bolts. The headlight assembly will come out.

In order to remove the whole assembly, you have to remove the front bumper cover which will expose a bolt on the bottom of the assembly which has to be removed...along with the bolt on top of the radiator support beam on each headlight!

the sucker is welded on, you gotta remove the bumper and tail lights, and start drilling away at the welds

Remove the front bumper cover.... there should be 3 mounting bolts to remove the headlight after the bumper is removed.

You must remove the front bumper to access the headlight.
