The ignition lock cylinder needs to be replaced, the only way the cylinder will come out is if you can get into the "acc" position, there is a release pin on the housing that you have to push in to remove the cylinder,. remove the covering around the locj to gain access to the pin, it may be a good idea to buy the new lock cylinder first so you can see where the release pin is, if you can not get the key into the ACC position the lock cylinder needs to be drilled out and I recommend having a Toyota dealer or locksmith deal with this.
Remove the ignition module retaining ring. Pull the ignition barrel out. Remove the wiring harness from the back of the ignition barrel. Reverse the process to install the new ignition module.
Remove the ignition retaining ring. Pull the ignition barrel out. Remove the wiring harness from the back of the ignition barrel. Reverse the process to install the new ignition key tumbler.
Remove the ignition switch retaining nut. Pull the ignition out. Remove the wiring harness from the back of the ignition barrel. Reverse the process to install the new ignition.
The ignition barrel can be removed by removing the retaining ring. The barrel will slide out. Remove the wiring harness from the back of the barrel.
You will need to remove the ignition switch retaining ring. Pull the ignition switch barrel out. Remove the wiring harness from the back of the ignition switch. Reverse the process to install the new ignition switch.
you can not do this the ignition needs to be in position 1 then with a small screwdriver press the little button in and ignition will slide out, without key you will need to replace the whole ignition
to remove stilo ignition barrel, look underneath the barrel. there is a square button holding the barrel in. put the key in the ignition, turn 2 notches, and press the button in with a screwdriver. Then wiggle the barrel out using the key.
Remove the retaining ring, from the ignition. Pull the ignition barrel out. Remove the wiring harness from the back of the ignition barrel. Reverse the process to install the new ignition.
you need to have the ignition barrel in the on position otherwise you cant to it.
The instructions to replace the ignition barrel boot release and door locks on a Perugeot 106 Zest 2 can be found online by doing a web search. If you have issues doing so after researching the instructions, I recommend calling a mechanic or locksmith to assist you.
if its the Toyota mr2 mk2, then this is easy,1, place the key in the ignition and turn to acc,2, press the small button that is sunk into the top of the barrel behind the facia,3, withdraw the barrel,hope this helps, as for any other way without the key i couldn't tell you, i have just removed mine this way and replaced it
