Heat vinegar. Dab onto the fabric. Will take about 5 minutes. Wash the fabric in a washing machine about three times. Hopefully glue will be removed. If not: Freeze the fabric. Peel glue from fabric.

Pour boiling water over the glue, put a doubled towel over the water to retain the heat and wait one minute. The glue will soften with the hot water. Then, use the towel to scrub the glue area free of the glue. Repeat the process as necessary. Two or three applications should be sufficient to remove all the glue. Fold the towel two or three times and place it over the wetted carpet area. Standing on the towel will absorb most of the water. Use a shop vacuum to suck up all liquid left.

To remove wood glue from carpet, you will need an adhesive remover. Apply the remover to the carpet and then scrape off.

First use a fine scrubbing brush (nail brush) and scrub it with Goof-Off, when it gets soft use warm water and keep swamping it on and 'shop vaccing ' it off.
