Remove the gas line, and plug open end. Insure the gas valve cock is "OFF". Remove the saddle. This is accomplished by removing the side body parts. After removing screws they will just pull off. Remove the one machine screw at the rear base of the tank. pull the tank back and slightly upward, and it will be free in your hands.

most likely the oil tank The tank under the seat is your rear air box for your rear air filter, there is a similar one under the gas tank for your front air filter.
The VS800 has a screen inside the tank that they (Suzuki) call a fuel filter. The say it never needs replaced. Other than that.. there is no fuel filter.
If you're talking about the motorcycle, yes; it's on the left side, just under the lower edge of the tank, between the two cylinders.
