there are bolts located in the rear and side the ball joint part has to be removed with a ball joint seperator (pickle fork) if it breaks you have to pound out the joint any question contact me at KRAGAR33@AOL.COM
Locate the control arm under the vehicle. Attach it with mounting bolts. Put the bushings in place. Tighten the mounting bolts only when all bolts are installed. Connect the sway bar the lower control arm.
The bottom suspension components on a 2002 Suzuki XL-7 will need to be loosen so the lower control arm can come off. Loosen the ball joint and then the hardware to remove the lower control arm. Align the new arm properly and replace the unit.
no you do not have to remove the strut just take the lower control arm lose.
usually at the bottom or rear of the radiator - or remove the lower radiator hose
* If the bike is fully faired, remove lower fairing cowel * Look behind the lower left hand downtube which cradles the engine
You unbolt it
First you have to jack the car take off the wheel then remove the brake caliper then remove the sway bar bushing ,then remove the lower ball joint from the shock then remove the bolt that holds the lower control arm in . one towards the front and one towards the back . then remove the control arm . press out the old bushing and press in a new one then revers the procedure.
Detach lower ball joint from steering knuckle. Remove bolts that secure control arm to vehicle.
For the lower ball joint, remove the lower control arm and the ball joint seal. Press the ball joint from the control arm. Press the new ball joint into the lower control arm ensuring it is fully seated, install a new seal and the lower control arm.
raise front end of car- use jackstands if lift is not availble. remove two bolts securing lower part of front shock to the lower control arm . remove nut securing the top of the shock to the frame. remove shock through hole in lower control arm. install new shock in reverse order.
To replace the lower control arms on a 1994 Acura Integra safely raise and stabilize the car. Remove the lower ball joints and two bolts that hold the lower control arms to the car. Pull them off. Replace with a new unit.
