It requires a special puller to remove the pulley. There is NO bolt are Allen head that has to be removed. The pulley is pressed on. You will also have to get a special tool to put the pulley back on too.
That is not a Allen screw in there. That is part of the pump shaft. If you are looking to remove the pump pulley you will need a power steering pulley puller. This tool will help you remove it and replace it, without the puller you will damage the pulley or the pump or both.
The Allen head is NOT a bolt. Go to an Auto parts store and get a Power Steering Pulley Remover tool. The pulley is pressed on, there will be instructions with the tool or ask the counter person.
To remove the pulley you must use a "puller", I removed my pump first but with the good type of puller you might not need to. The shaft on my pump has a hole in the end with an "Allen" type inset which has nothing to do with removing the pulley. (its not a screw). Remember to flush and bleed your new setup to remove dirt and air.
look and see if there is an opening for an Allen wrench in the front of the shaft.if there is use an Allen wrench to hold the shaft and an open end wrench to turn the nut
Normally, it is pressed on and tightened with an Allen screw. You undo the Allen screw before you try to pull it off.
First you need to remove the belt then the pulley. After that remove the distributer cap and the gaurd around it this will make it easier to get to the lines and the bolts on the front of the pump. There is alsp 3 or 4 allen bolts on the back you have to feel for th you really cant see them. Finally losen the fill line and remove pump
remove the old one, remove the drive pulley. install the drive pulley on the new alternator,lock the shaft with an allen or drill bit thru the housing hole,torq the drive pulley nut, install it like the old one was installed.
All you need is a 10mm allen socket with a 6" extension. remove that bolt and the steering wheel pops off. Yo uonly needed to remove the Mercedes logo in center of horn to access that bolt.
The '96 dodge avenger 2.5 engine has a timing belt. To replace: Remove pax wheel, splash guard, power steering pump, motor mount, crankshaft pulley, plastic covers (3). Before removing, clearly mark timing belt and pulley with paint marker because overhead cams will move it engine is not at top dead center. Remove tentioner pulley and remove belt. Compress piston rod with clamp and hold down with small Allen wrench through pin hole. Replace belt, then tensioner pulley with pin still in place. Remove Allen wrench and good luck. Install everything in reverse. Tedious but possible for anyone with some mechanic experience.

It's not hard, you have to remove the v belts from a/c and alternator. Then remove the water pump pulley, remove all the little nuts and bolts around the cover, and remove the crankshaft pulley; tis involves removint the Allen head bolts and the main center bolt. That part is tough on the arms.
