usually a pool will have a vacuum that just goes around the pool and cleans it for trash and other things that have fallen in it. if it's just a small amount then just don't worry about it. but if it's like a truck load, you might have to pump all the water out and grab a shovel.
I think you can as long as the yard is level, the concrete is in good condition and thick enough, and you use sand in the bottom of the pool. Consult your local pool shop for advice.

Zeolite is lighter than sand and smaller than sand. It can get past the laterals and backwash out easier. When backwashing some of it will be in the valve. Rinsing will remove some of it but some will go to the pool.
