toyota avensis 2004 how to remove door panel from passanger side front door
first remove the pannel, remove the whats left of the old door glass and clean out all bits of broken glass. in the front of the door you will see the front track that runs verticaly down into the door, the bottom of this track is held in place by a 10 mm bolt (down by the speaker) remove this bolt, do not remove the track. roll the regulator up to about midway, the glass is installed from the 'out side', tip the front of the glass down and push it into the door at this time you must also insert the front roller of the regulator into the U channel of the door glass. push the glass down and roll the back of the glass into the door. now you should have the glass in the door and the front roller of the regulator in the U channel of the door glass. by rolling the window up and down you will find a 'sweet spot' where you can push the glass all the way forward (beside the front track.. ALL the way forward) this will alow you to insert the rear roller of the regulator into the U channel of the door glass. now both rollers should be in the channel. push the door glass all the way back into the rear track, roll the window all the way down, push the front track forward and then back onto the door glass, install the 10 mm bolt to hold the track in place. (hint... do not force anything these fall right into place if you are in the right spot or have the right angle) hope this helps
First off you remove the screws which hold the cover of the door. There is a one in the corner left , one inside the door handle and one in the side tray. Move from the bottom of the door side and remove the fiber panel on the door.At top there will be two stoppers which hold the glass in position so that it doesnt go ahead of the track. You need to remove them first. The glass will have two stopper and a rollers which should fit into the track of the door. This track makes sure the glass moves in the desired direction. If its the front glass attached the right most stopper to the glass and slide the glass into the door making sure the rollers moves into the track. After than you need to screw one of the stopper to the metal part of the windows mechnism which moves the windows up and down. One your done , U will have to remove the front speaker and connect the left side of the stopper to the metal part. Attach move the stoppers at the top and plug back the fibre panel in place. It does take a lot of time to get done with this.
