It is an extremely big job to remove the dash. Either get a manual on the car or take it to the trim shop
I did not find this to be a daunting task. I changed it without having any prior experience.
The center console has a black trim piece that encompasses it, and is marked *dynaride* between the comfort controls (thermostat) and the radio opening. This piece is held on by a few retaining clips that pop open fairly easily.
Grasp the trim by the upper edge, and pull upward and outward at the same time. The top should have now come free. Grab at the bottom of the trim panel (if you need to you can remove the ashtray to access it better, use the same lift and pull method, you will feel some resistance but the ashtray is pretty tough so just keep pulling). Pull the lower part free, taking care not to break the straight plastic tabs that hold the bottom in place. You should now be able to change the stereo.
Do you mean a chrome aftermarket cover or the whole firewall? The aftermarket chrome one you will need to remove the engine, the stock firewall will require some extensive bodywork and the interior being removed.
To install an aftermarket stereo in a 2003 Montana you need to first buy a trim plate or a mounting bracket. Remove the dash panel. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. Remove the factory stereo. Unplug the factory wiring harness from the radio. Connect the new radio. Test it and reassemble the dash. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
What you will probably have to do is one, make sure that if your are going to put in an aftermarket tach, it is the same size if you are going to put it in the dash. Then you will have to remove the dash, (you might have to take off little plastic ring around guages) then take out tach, disconnect wires, and install the new tachometer.
I assume by keyless you are talking about keyless entry, if so, you will not lose it if you install aftermarket CD players.
Remove the freon from the system. Disconnect the compressor belt, then remove the lines. Unbolt the compressor and remove it. Install the new compressor, connect the lines and belt. Pull a system vacuum, then fill with new freon.
To remove the back seat of a Skylark, reach into the area between the back and the seat and pull up on the seat. The back part of the seat is bolted in and will require a socket wrench to remove.
If you're looking to install an aftermarket stereo system then you need to purchase a dash install kit. You can pick them up at Walmart if need be, they're about $20. The dash install kit comes with instructions for how to safely remove the factory stereo and install the aftermarket one.*If you want to keep some of the safety features, such as the "dinging when you manually turn on the driving lights and turn the car off" you'll need to pick up the wiring kit to go with the dash install kit.

to install an aftermarket radio you will have to get an "L" bracket and mount underneath the ac/heat switchboard then get a seperate wiring harness for the 3 seperate wire groups. then mount underneath. also if a center console is still their you will have to remove that.
