I just did this today. 1. remove the 3 plastic screws below glovebox. 2. remove plastic screw farther down under dash (after you do above, you will know what I'm talking about. 3. remove panel (all screws should be out now) 4. go behind dash and remove two nuts that hold radio in place. 5. push on radio from behind, and radio will come out the front. 6. Detach all connectors (about 8).
PS: I removed the negative battery cable just to make sure the power is off.
If you do it right, you can get it out in 1/2 hour without damaging your dash. Don't believe the people who tell you you have to take your dash out. The only panel that needs to be removed is the one below the glovebox, and it's pretty easy to do that without breaking anything.

I removed my Mazda radio recently and it took 1-1/2 hours. First, you have to remove the box under the radio with a large (1/4 inch) and very tiny screwdriver or strong metal, to get access to : 2 press large and strong buttons, one each side of the radio. I had to push and pull frequently to release both side. Be gently and the radio will come out.
On the left and right side of the head unit there are small plastic strips. Take a screwdriver and wrap the head in tape, then gently pop them out by taking a tape wrapped tip and put it between the head unit and the surrounding bezel. After these are removed set them a side, under these smalls trips will be several holes. The holes that you will be dealing with are the two largest holes on each side. From here you can go buy a tool to remove the head unit, it is called a Ford/Mazda stereo removal tool. or you can fabricate a similar tool out of a hanger. The tool is only five dollars and it will make the removal infinitely easier. The tool looks like a pice of wire shaped like a U with the diameter about an inch and a half. Take one end of the U and put it in the top hole and the other in the bottom hole, do the same on both SIDS. After the U is inside the head unit you will then push them in about an inch and a half. from there you are going to pull the loops of the U together. This action will depress a small spring inside the head unit on both sides and allow the unit to slide forward. If you use the tool it will engage the spring very quickly and will stay in place, the coat hangar will not say in the same place and will require much more finesse to get the unit to come out. You must pull both sides out at the same speed because the unit will not fit out of the hole if you pull at an angle. When you get the unit out there will be three plugs in the back if you have a tape deck or CD carousel, and only two if it is only the head unit. Unplug all of the plugs, two of them are standard computer style multi pin connectors and the last one is a long pin for the antenna. After all of these steps are finished the radio will be removed. If you want to remove the tape deck the process is the same only you will have to unplug only one connector in the back. Have fun and Good luck, I have removed almost every part of my 1999 Miata and put it back with out a service manual and the car is running great at 120,000 miles. You can do it.
* Remove the center trim panel * Remove the radio mounting screws then pull the radio out of the instrument panel just far enough to access the electrical connectors and the antenna cable on the backside of the unit * Disconnect the electrical connectors and the antenna lead from the backside of the radio and remove the radio

Remove the 1993 Toyota decorative radio cover in. Remove the radio retaining screws. Pull the radio out. Remove the wiring harness.
as long as it is the factory radio, go to your nearest Mazda dealer and they should be able to get the code using your VIN number. good luck
Begin by removing the decorative cover from your 2001 Pontiac Bonneville radio. Remove the radio retaining screws. Slide the radio out and remove the wiring harness and the antenna cable.
look on top of the radio there is a tray. grab the top of the tray and pull out there are clips that hold it together then just let it hang from the wires you will see the radio on brackets then just remove the 4 bolts from the bracket and pull the radio out dont forget to remove the conncetions on the back. once you remove the radio there are 4 screws on each side of the radio that is holding the radio to the bracket. remove those to remove radio from bracket. dont lose those screws your going to need them to install on new radio. any more questions e-mail emezahth@gmail.com
