- follow steps 1-4 - once you get the black trim plate off, the stock radio is held in place by 4 nut/screws. - remove the nut/screws - pull the stock radio out - disconnect the harness - disconnect the antenna - disconnect any auxiliary input devices (i.e. CD changer) if you have them
- when you go to put your new deck in, just follow these steps in reverse

Take the screws out of the radio and pull it out!
Remove the 1993 Toyota decorative radio cover in. Remove the radio retaining screws. Pull the radio out. Remove the wiring harness.

The Toyota Tacoma radio fuse can be located in the fuse box. The fuse box is in the engine compartment. The location of the radio fuse will be listed on the inside cover of the fuse box.
Pop off the A/C Control knobs, then remove the screws. Then remove the a/c assembly, more screws, then it slides out.

First you must remove the climate control knobs, then unsnap the cover panel with a screwdriver. Remove the two screw behind the panel and from behind the drink holder. Unsnap the plastic frame from the radio and lift it up to remove. Then remove 4 more screws fro the radio and it will slide out.

You need to remove the two screws above the climate controls. Then you pull the bezel around the radio off the dashboard. Next, you unscrew the four screws holding the deck to the dashboard and pull out the stereo and twist it so you can see the backside. Finally, you unplug and pull out all of the wiring.
If you are referring to the factory supplied radio, it is not a 'component' type radio. It must be removed from the dash and dis-assembled.

you can pop off the front panel with small screwdriver then there are 4 screws that are phillip unscrew the 4 bolt and it should fall out
