How do you remove the factory stereo in a 2004 wrangler?
Remove the top vent cover that stretches from one end of the dash to the other above the defrost vents. It just pries off. Then remove the ashtray by pulling it out. Remove the screw behind the ashtray and the two upper screws, then pull the pry the bottom of the center bezel away from its clips and remove it. I used a 10mm socket with extension to remove the two bolts up above and then fought the thing out with the bar on the back. Then just undo the wiring clips.

It should plug right in to the factory wire harness and snap in place.
