How do you remove the manufacturer radio from a 2006 Honda Civic?
Here you go, I just did this yesterday. Make sure you have your radio code before you remove power. I didn't realize that a code was needed to access the radio after it loses power. If you didn't receive, or record, the radio security code when you bought it, you will need to remove the radio from the dash and obtain the number from the back of the radio. That number along with the VIN - take it to your local Honda dealer or call the Honda 800 Customer Service Number, and they should be able to give you the unlock code for your radio.
You can either remove the Radio Fuse and let the car cool down and/or Battery for a while. Remove the mounting bolts/screws from the console. 5. remove the mounting screws to the radio and then pull the unit out slightly. 6. Detach the electical connectors and atenna lead and remove the radio. 7.installation in the reverse of the removal procedure. Once installed, enter the securety code.
