depends on the year of the car. For a Mk2 Golf You need to remove the dash surround. you then just need to feed your hand round the back of the dials casing and unclip the speedo cable. It's tricky to get back in though but not impossible. good luck
the whole light or just he bulbs?? just the bulbs
Remove the existing one, replace it with a new one.
you don't say what year your golf is but most are just a simple case of removing the front facia , usually held in with a couple of screws,on later golfs you have to remove the stereo. Unscrew the speedo dials and reach around and unclip the power blocks and speedo cable this lets you tilt the unit forward and unclip the bulbs. new bulbs can be bought at a auto store and replaced easily. the longest part is removing the facia
Remove the old wiper and replace with a new one
From the inside of the hatch area uncover the light fixtures. The lamp carrier is held in place by plastic clips. Depress the clips to remove the lamp carrier. Replace the lamps as required and replace the carrier in the fixture. Check your work.
You can turn the speedometer off by removing the speedometer fuse. The speedometer fuse can be found in the fuse box. The location of the fuse is listed on the inside cover of the fuse box.
remove the center knob which controls the fan speed. pull straight out using pliers but be careful not to damage the knob itself. The one bulb in the center lights all the climate control dials. Get a new bulb at vw and replace. Similar size bulbs from parts stores dont work cause the body of the bulb is smaller than the vw bulbs so the don't stay in place well.
Front side lights
You will remove the engine then you replace the clutch plate on the flywheel, You also will have to remove the bearing which sits in the bell housing, and then put it back together again.
its very easy open the hood and remove the carpet from the light there will be 2 bolts the whole light unit will come out and then replace the bulb .
Not if its crazy golf lol
I've got the same problem. Golf CL 90. Took the whole dash out, including the unit with all the meters in it. Might have to disconnect the odo at the back... Then you just replace two light bulbs at the top of this unit.
