i dont mean to be rude mate but if your asking if a car has a starter motor take it to a mechenic
Remove the positive cable from your 1992 Chevy Lumina battery. Remove the cables from the front of the starter. Remove the starter retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your new starter.

remove passenger front tire then fold back the water guard then you will access to the starter
the bendix gear on the starter is stuck on the flywheel remove starter check bendix gear for wear if worn to bad replace starter
Which engine is in it ? First disconnect battery remove torque converter cover if it is an auto trans remove starter bolts position so you can remove rest of wires stand starter vertical rotate and let it com out the bottom

There are two engines for that particular year of century. Easiest way is to Follow the positive battery cable down to the starter. Disconnect ground on the battery. Remove any bracket or obstruction that blocks access to the starter,Loosen the two bolts that hold starter to the engine, if there is a heat shield, remove it.As you lower the starter, remove the two wires on the starter solenoid. At times you need to wiggle, twist , or turn the starter to remove it if you are in real close quarters. Reverse procedure.
disconnect your battery, {neg. cable first} then pos. cable, go under your car/truck and unbolt starter. There you have it. To install work it backwards
