It's on the back of the motor, attached to the bell housing. MAKE SURE YOU DISCONNECT THE BATTERY FIRST. Then disconnect the battery and activation wires from the starter. Remove all bolts to the starter then remove the starter it's self. There may be dowl pins that help allign and also increase the difficulty of removeing the starter even after the bolts have been removed. The solution is to wiggle the starter until it comes free. And in a smaller note make sure the starter is not still bolted to any other brackets such as the intake manifold support bracket.

Turn of the ignition and disconnect the negative battery charge. Remove positive cable from the starter. Loosen the bolts that hold the starter to the block and remove the supporting brackets. Remove the bolts holding the starter. Remove the starter and place a new one.
