How do you replace the turn signal and housing on a broken one?

I would not even try this if your unsure at all. I did it to my 1990 firebird, and on most cars they are not that bad, but for the firebird you have to take apart the the steering column. unhook the battery if you have an airbag. remove the airbag, remove the steering wheel, and then there is a whole lot of stuff you have to remove to get to the turn signal swith, which is not easy to get off or put back on. And I did this at the shop with all the fancy tools and everything too, and it still was difficult.

How do you remove a steering wheel from a 1994 Mitsubishi 3000 gt?

To remove the steering wheel start by disconnecting the negative battery terminal to prevent accidental airbag deployment. Then remove the screws on the backside of the steering wheel to remove the airbag. Disconnect the airbag wiring connectors. Remove the steering column shaft nut and remove the steering wheel with a puller. Do not yank, hammer, pry the steering wheel off as this could result in steering shaft damage.

Can you put a steering wheel without an airbag on a 1994 Pontiac Firebird?

yes you can. You will need to purchase a steering wheel installation kit from a company like Grant. This should be available anywhere that sells steering wheels such as a auto parts store. The only thing that requires a professional is removal of the old airbag, unless it has already been deployed. IF the airbag is still good, have a professional remove the old air bag. If the airbag has already gone off, then you can remove the steering wheel just as any other car and replace it with an aftermarket wheel and installation kit.

How do you remove the driver airbag in a 2006 Zephyr or Fusion?

There is a hole on each side of the steering wheel. Insert a 3mm rod or allen wrench into the holes and push. You are compressing a round straight spring that locks into a notch on each the airbag retaining pins. The airbag will come right out and you can then work removing the wire connectors, most likely they are melted and must be destroyed. Do NOT remove any of the trim on the steering wheel. It is not necessary.

What do you have to do when you put a new clock spring in a 2004 Chevy S10 How do you set the clock spring?

start by removing the airbag assembly which will be attached by four screws on the back side of the steering wheel. Usually these are small torx bit screws. Once that is done you can carefully remove the airbag and then undo the wiring from the airbag (with the ignition OFF) After that remove the steering wheel insert and the clock spring is on the back side. Carefully remove it as to not damage the plastic retainer. Reverse these steps for install.
