To replace the tailight assembly for a 2002 Ford F-150 you lower the tailgate and locate two hex screws that are inset two access holes by the light assemblys. Remove those two screws being careful not to drop them in the bed frame. The tailight assembly then cane be removed to access the bulbs. The owners manual does have very good instructions on this proceedure. Good luck.

Replacing the turn signal switch involves replacing the entire turn signal assembly. Remove the screws from the steering column cover to remove the top of the steering column. You can take off the bottom (I was able to work around it). There are only a few screws holding the turn signal assembly. Remove the screws and unfasten the electrical connectors.

Remove the headlight assembly above the faulty signal bulb. This will give you access to the signal bulb socket. To remove the headlight assembly, open the hood, stand in front of the headlight assembly, notice two black tabs sticking up behind the headlight assembly inside the radiator support. Pull up and wiggle the tabs to remove them, this will release the headlight assembly. You can now wiggle the headlight assembly out to gain access to the signal bulb socket for replacement.

I just finished replacing the driver side and the instructions are in the owners manual. Purchase replacement bulbs 4157. With the vehicle off open the lift gate and remove the two screws located at the right or left (depending on the side you are replacing) of the lamp assembly. Gently pull the assembly straight out from the vehicle. If you do not pull it straight out you risk breaking some plastic pieces that would result in replacing the whole assembly so go slow and be patient. The tail/stop/turn signal light is the one on top. Rotate the socket counterclockwise and pull straight out. Pull the bulb straight out of the socket and put in the replacement. Put the socket back in the assembly and rotate clockwise. At this point start the vehicle and turn on the turn signal to make sure it works. If it works turn off the vehicle and replace the assembly by pushing it straight back on and replacing the screws.

Open the hood, remove the two tabs that lock the headlight assembly in place, remove the headlight assembly, doing this will give you access to the signal light socket for bulb replacement.

The headlight assembly has 3 screws that need removed. After removing the screws, then remove the headlight. The turn signal is located in the side light assembly. The blinker or turn signal assebly will pull forward and come out. After pulling it forward you can unsnap the wire and turn the blinker bulb, loosening it, then remove and replace. Be careful replacing the blinker assembly. There is a small part that "snaps" together when it is installed properly. If you do not install properly it will be O.K. but will not be lined up correctly.

Reach behind the bumper of the 99 Cavalier. There are two nuts that hold the turn signal assembly in. Remove the nuts to take the assembly off and replace it.

Remove the headlight assembly above the bad bulb to gain access to the burned out bulb.
