How do you remove the trim ring from the dash on a 1996 grand marquis?
On my 95 Grand Marquis I had to pry off the woodgrain panels beneath the trim ring (I am assuming you are talking about the one surrounding the gauge cluster and radio) There were 5 7mm screws under them and 2 more at the top of the gauge cluster. Good Luck!
Go to a Ford dealer parts department and request the part number and diagram of the part location. I did this for my 2004 Grand Marquis. It is located on the lower right center of the dash panel on the 2004 Grand Marquis. Try this link http://car.justanswer.com/uploads/Auto TechInSTL/2007-07-16_213138_sc2.gif.
no, it can be done .from under the car remove the two heater hoses. then from under the dash,in the center, start removing several screws that hold a cover in.remove cover, and ducts if I remember correctly.then you will have 4 screws holding it in.if you have a console,it will be more difficult.reverse procedure to install. if i remember correctly you dont remove the dash.
