Remove the armrest, door handle, and window handle. You will need a special tool to get the window handle off. They're cheap and you can get them at any auto parts store. Remove the screws at the bottom of the door panel then CAREFULLY pull the retaining clips out of the door by sliding a screwdriver between the panel and door where the clips are (you'll find them at the front and back) it is VERY easy to tear the backing of the door panel when removing them, so be careful and patient. Slide the door panel up to unhook the top of it from the door. Remove the window regulator bolts and carefully slide the rollers out of the window tracks. Carefully remove the window from the top of the door. slide the window regulator out.
I think in 70, they integrated it into the alternator.
It is most likely a broken window regulator or bad electric motor. Don't know about the cost of the motor but the regulator will run $40-$70 + labor to install.

The 70 LS6 Chevelle with the 454 big block was rated at 450 horse power but at the dragstrip, with only mods to prevent body tweaking, it put out closer to 480 HP.
