How do you remove the headlight assembly on a 2003 Subaru Forester It must be removed to change bulbs other than headlamp?

according to the manual you have to remove the front grill and plastic lamp cover then unbolt the lamp housing to remove it then replace the bulbs - unfortunately it is very vague as to the exact procedure for removing the front grill. I dont think you actually have to remove the headlight assembly, you open the hood and get to the bulb through the back side of the headlight.

How do you change a parking light on a Subaru Forester?

This was answered last week and is a simple procedure. One Phillips screw holds the parking light on in my 2000 Forester. You open the hood, remove the screw, pull the lamp assembly out and you have access to change the bulb. If you are asking about changing the whole assembly, the answer is the same. --Ken

How do you replace the headlight switch on a 1999 Subaru Forester?

It turns out the headlight switch is not a serviceable part on the Subaru Forester. Instead, the entire turn signal lever must be replaced (a $100 part). A brief description of how to replace the turn signal lever follows: First, remove the steering column cover. There are three screws underneath - remove those. Then release the steering column adjustment lever and leave it down. The bottom part of the steering column cover unsnaps from the top part and you should be able to remove it easily. The top part of the steering column cover can just stay there and be moved as necessary to gain access to screws. Next, remove two screws where the turn signal lever assembly attaches to the steering column. Remove the electrical harness and the turn signal lever assembly should just pull straight out. Reverse the process to put in the new turn signal lever assembly.

The towing capacity is 2000lbs with trailer brakes, and 1000lbs without. This info pertains to a Class I hitch assembly with a 1.25" ball on a Subaru Forester 98-01. If towing with an automatic transmission, first install a transmission cooler. **2001 Subaru Forester L Owners Manual.
