First of all, check the fuse on the fuse box under blower motor. If the fuse is ok, the blower control switch could be the culprit.
nius: Ford contours are known for their fault heater blowers, the switch melts as well as the connections to it... the switch is 20 bux, for has a recal on the plug (10 year 100,000 mile which ever comes first) take it to a for dealer and they should fix it for free
Bad blower resistor. I just replaced mine.
You remove the heater blower by removing the bottom cover of the Glove Compartment. Then you will see The heater blower housing. Then you will see like a black clip you need to lift. Then You simply turn clockwise and bingo its off. To install just do the same thing except in reverse mode. Good Luck!!

The heater blower resister is under the dash on the passenger side. It is inserted into the side of the blower motor case.
Need the correct model of vehicle you have and you cannot repair a heater core...........

It is under the dash on the passenger side.
The A/C - Heater blower motor will be located on the passengers side behind the glovebox and you will have to loosen the dash on that side and pry it up very carefully.......

Blower resistor is under the glove box. It is diamond shaped with 2 screws holding it in.
the resistor is gonna be right off the blower motor attached to the blower motor by a wire harness should be by the heater core

The blower resistor assembly is located on the heater case to the right of the blower motor. The blower motor is located under the hood on the passenger side firewall.
The blower motor is removed from under the hood. Against the firewall just to the left of center you will see the blower sticking out. Five 5.5mm bolts hold it on.
The 1998 Dodge Neon does not have a relay. It does have a blower motor resistor that could be bad.
