heater core for95 Chevy corsicaIt is usually not feasible (if at all possible) to repair a heater core.

Replace it with a new one.

Heater core removal and installation:

Disconnect the battery cables. (Negative cable first, then the positive one.)

You will need to raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Apply the parking brake and block the rear wheels to keep the vehicle from rolling off the jackstands.

Drain the cooling system.

Remove drain hose from the bottom of the heater case.

Working in the engine compartment, disconnect the heater hoses at the firewall.

Remove the right and left sound insulators and steering column trim cover.

Disassemble the dash as necessary for access. Remove the heater outlet duct and glove box.

Remove the heater core cover. Pull straight back to avoid breaking the drain tube.

Remove the heater core clamps and remove the heater core.

Installation is the reverse of removal.
