Sorry, you can't do anything other than replace the speedometer itself. The speedo is driven by a magnet system which also gear drives the odometer which is tamper proof. Check with a dealer in your area and depending on state law, you may be able to get a used speedo unit from a recycling yard and the dealer will place a sticker on the car verifying actual mileage.
^^ That is incorrect, it is not tamperproof. The way to fix this is to replace the odometer gear itself. The gear costs $28. You need to remove the speedo from the instrument cluster and tear the back of the odometer apart to replace the broken gear. The following weblink explains it in better detail than I could. I did mine in about an hour, but your mileage may vary. http://www.backesfamily.com/TCProjects/Odometer%20Repair/odometer.html
Chilten's repair book or Haynes' repair book for Chrysler 95 lebaron Usuallya 95 Chrysler lebaron is 3.0L Look in the book for diagrams for 3.0L or the engine you have To find your engine Look under hood Your engine should be on top engine cover My guess is it is a3.0L
If the digital odometer is not displaying its readout or is working intermittently it is a common occurrence that there is a bad solder connection on the instrument cluster. When the digital odometer is not displaying its readout or the digital odometer displays intermittently this problem is frequently reported along with the vehicles tachometer not displaying any readout or working on an intermittent basis as well. The link below shows the steps to repair a bad solder joint on an instrument cluster. It is fully illustrated and not too difficult, took me about an hour from start to finish.http://members.cox.net/dpeters30/97_sebring_dash.htm
how to repair passenger side window on a1986 Chrysler le baron

search for instrument cluster repair in search engine
It is not clear from your question whether the odometer is mechanical or digital. If it is digital, this is likely the beginning symptoms of a cracked solder joint on the circuit board that provides power and mileage information to the odometer display. See the discussion of the problem and options for repair at http://www.odometer-repair.com .

The repair for an odometer on the 1999 Nissan Sentra SE varies depending on the type of damage. You might repair the odometer by simply replacing the fuse for this part. You might also repair the odometer by replacing the cables.
If you should be so lucky as to be an electrical engineer, you could reverse engineer the digital cluster. Or you might search endless web sites hunting a diagram if you truly think you could fix it yourself. You might try finding a replacement from a salvage yard, with no warranty, and you pay the shipping. Or you could do what I did when the display went out in my LeBaron(red convertible), contact http://www.mrwhizard.com/. They repair digital clusters. They do a great job and have a warranty program.
The best advice is to look in a chilton's book for 1995 Chrysler lebaron 3.0L There are Chilton's and Haynes repair manuals at your local library and auto parts store
Hi, Can you clarify what is exactly wrong with the odometer? Those W210 cars have a sealed digital odometer. If one part of the display is faulty, you will need to have the whole unit replaced. Regards Mike S.
Front (side away from transmission) is cheaper by far. Around $100.00 is my GUESS.
It is non-servicable, so repair requires replacement of the speedometer/odometer assembly.
You don't. There are reasons you aren't allowed to tamper with an odometer. If you have an old jalopy you might be able to replace a broken drive cable, but you can't even do that with a modern digital one. You have to get it replaced.
If the door is sagging, due to rusted hinges, have the body side of the hinge welded at a shop. It worked for me and cost $25

Probably the cheap black plastic odometer gears(2) if you have set in center. If you have odometer on the left and trip odometer on the right then it is two sets...four gears. Usually when one breaks the other is not far behind in the two set type. There are several online suppliers who can provide parts for the repair.
Make sure all of the wires on the coil are tight and if they are take it to a speedo shop for tach repair.
There should be a map somewhere under the hoo. If not, You need to go to a car parts store, and get a repair manual for your car. They cost about $16.00 Or, go to a Public Library.
