Fiero does not use a speedo cable
There is an electronic sensor mounted on top of the transmission that both the engine computer and the speedo in the dash read to get the speed.
There is no speedo cable on a Sunfire.
The speedometer is electronic...there is no speedometer cable.
If the speedometer is not working it probably needs a new speedometer cable. If the speedometer is actually broken either take it to as speedometer repair shop or replace it.

Speedometer cable replace 1989 toyota
There is no speedometer cable, it is electronic.
if it's the speedometer cable you just unhook the cable from in back of the speedometer head in the dash by unscrewing it and taking it off and on the transmission it also unscrews and then just pull the complete cable out and replace with a new cable.
If it is the gauge you have to pull the gauge cluster. If it is the cable you have to get under the car and replace it. It will be the only cable on the tranny. Good luck
If it is broken they cannot be repaired. You need to replace it.
firstly you find the part off the speedo cable that's broken and then you replace it with a new part then you speedometer will work
Disconnect speedometer cable from back of speedometer gauge by twisting the threaded collar to unscrew. Then just slide the old cable out of cable housing and insert new one. If cable is broken you may need to disconnect cable from transmission tail shaft to remove part of the cable. Cable must be inserted into the gauge end of the cable housing.
