Actually if you wanna grab a hammer and just beat the thing out it worked for me as well, but then i came onto another problem, my ball joint wont come out because its hitting the wheel bearing and i donr have enough money to get a shop to press the bearing out temporarily! Help!
The joint has to be pressed out in a hydraulic press. If you're a do it your selfer then remove the steering knuckle that it is attached to and take it to a machine shop and pay them to change it.

I have the same problem and the consensus is that it is the lower ball joints. Try to get grease into the lower ball joint (with a pointed applicator) or replace them.

You have to replace the lower control did assembly .
follow the lower radiator hose
follow lower hose to rear of engine. rember to bleed. bleeder located on the upper radiator hose housing.

Well, I assume that a Honda accord has 4 wheels so i'd say both. But i think a standard accord in the lower price range comes with front wheel drive.
The 2000 Accord does NOT have the LATCH anchors. It does have 3 tethers.

Not so easy.This is pressed into the lower control arm.So :Jack and support carRemove lower ball joint to upright nut.Separate ball joint from upright. Usually with a hammer and suspension fork.In some cases there is a spot weld that needs to be ground off in place of the snap ring.Remove the snap ring that retains the joint into the lower control arm.Use your portable ball joint and suspension press to remove and install the replacement joint.Assembly is reverse of disassembly.
You will need to remove the tire and wheel from your Oldsmobile. Remove the retaining not on top of the ball joint. Pound the ball joint out. Reverse the process to install your new lower ball joint.
