To replace a broken radio antenna on a 2004 GMC Envoy you need to unscrew the old antenna. Next, place the new antenna in the hole and screw into place.
Cable inside the antenna is broken Disconnect wiring to antenna or replace entire unit
i dont really know
If the antenna is broken off at the base the entire base will need to be replaced. In order to do this the upper dash pad and the cowl will have to be removed so the three bolts will be exposed to remove the broken one.
the antenna is at ski hill
The plastic gear line is broken, you just replace the center section of your antenna.
There is no fixing a broken motor mount. Replace them with a new ones.
Its simple, The antenna of the T.V was broken and could not be fixed so a new antenna had to be bought
you must take off the fender to get to the antenna?
Internal cable in antenna broken?
the drive cord could also be broken inside the drum that holds the drive cord when the antenna is down. If that is the case, you will have to remove the cover next to the motor and remove the broken piece. I believe you can simply replace the antenna mast; eBay has one but it is for a power antenna that mounts on the passenger side. that means that the drive cord is stripped, on some cars, the mast with the drive strip alone can be replaced, on others, you have to replace the entire mast / motor assembly.
sounds like you have broken some teeth on the fly wheel gear.Hopefully it on the starter itself which is easier to replace.
The antenna is disconnected, the wire is cut, or it is broken, bent, or just bad. Replace the antenna and its wire to the stereo in the dash.
THE ANTENNA MAST OPERATES ON A PLASTIC CABLE WITH TEETH ON IT. WHAT HAPPENS IS THE TEETH WEAR OUT OR THE CABLE BREAKS. TO REMOVE THE OLD CABLE REMOVE THE NUT ON TOP AND TURN RADIO ON AND PULL OUT THE OLD CABLE. TO REPLACE THE NEW ONE STICK THE CABLE IN THE HOLE, TURN THE RADIO OFF AND THE MOTOR WILL PULL THE CABLE AND ANTENNA IN AND DOWN AND REPLACE THE NUT. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL OF THE OLD CABLE OUT. IF NOT YOU CAN ACCESS ANY BROKEN OFF PIECES BY REMOVING THE COVER PLATE ON THE SIDE OF THE ANTENNA MOTOR. I HOPE THIS INFORMATION HELPS.
The antenna should just unscrew from the base. If the base is broken then usually there is a cover to take off and screws are underneath. If not then it is screwed on from underneath the fender. You might have to take the inner liner out or out of the way to get to them. Have seen jeep do several different ways over the years. I hope I have helped some.
need to know is it power and is just the mas broken if it is just the mas and its power it not a big deal it takes about 5 min.
Our TV antenna is broken, so we couldn't watch GLEE Season 2.
No. If your wheel well has trim, you must remove that. Then remove the bolts that mount the fenderwell to the fender (this is not easy). This allows the fenderwell to be pulled back giving you clear access to the power antenna motor. Note that if the antenna is broken or doesn't go up and down anymore, you may be able to fix it by purchasing just a replacement antenna from Toyota. Typically the toothed cable breaks and all that is required is to remove the motor, disassemble the spool holder ( to remove the broken cable) and then install a new antenna.
The heater core is located behind/around the center of the of the firewall . It is around $300 to replace at a shop and not recommended to do on your own unless u have proper equipment and know how. You will know if your heater core is damaged when u pour coolant in and it drains out of a rubber elbow around the left central area of the firewall. DONT NOT DRIVE WITH BROKEN HEATER CORE. You risk severly damanging your engine.
My antenna broke off my 2001 Tahoe. I took it to the dealer & got a quote of over $300.00! I went to Autozone & purchased a small stud the correct size to fit the bottom of the antenna. I drilled & tapped the old antenna base, installed the stud, and replaced the antenna. I opted to place a small amount of JB Weld on the threads. It won't come off now, but it has performed perfectly for over a year & still working. I realize this is not the perfect fix, but it was broken anyway. This may sound a little complicated, but it really wasn't. I got the drill bit, the stud, and the tap all from Autozone for under $20.00. Good Luck.
how can i change the antenna base on ford focus its broken Remove the maplight cover and bulb housing. There is a single screw that secures the antenna base.
turn your steering wheel all the way to the left, get your 10mm socket with 1/4" ratchet wobble and 2x 2" extensions and remove the several bolts holding the dust cover from inside the wheel arch. Then proceed to remove the existing broken antenna (you will need to reach up into the guard to hold the antenna) and using a 14mm ring spanner undo the topmount fitting on old antenna, Then Reverse (the antenna cable goes through the side behind glove box just trace it and replace that with new cable that comes with new antenna) or you could just cut and solder the old cable to new antenna.
That's easy, I did the same job to my 90 accord. First buy a fixed antenna, I went to radio shack, something like $12, instead of $200+ for the power antenna from Honda.. In the trunk, on the side of the antenna, pull back the trunk liner but be careful not to break an clips. once the trunk liner is out of the way, you'll see what tools you'll need, and what nuts to turn. The new antenna will have all of the parts you need, find one that fits the fender the best. It is a relatively easy job, self explanitory once you expose the antenna from under the trunk. I completely took the old power antenna assembly out of mine. It's pretty self explanatory. Remove old antenna assembly, install new fixed antenna to quarter panel, plug in your antenna cable, replace trunk liner (carpet).
