The serpentine belt on a 2003 Dodge Dakota is replaced by loosening the belt tensioner and slipping the belt off. It can then be removed from the engine accessories and a new belt installed.

By removing the gear box , then reinstalling it and finally removing the old belt and replace by a new one.
use a 19mm wrench to loosen the tensioner located on the right side of the engine about half way down. remove the belt and then route the new one and install over tensioner.
