Disconnect the battery Raise the vehicle Remove the two nuts on the starter to get the wires off 10 mm and 13 mm Remove the two bolts holding the starter to the engine block and remove the starter
if it is anything like my 97' Saturn Sl2. The engine must be dropped out to dismount the transmission.
do a 99 Saturn sl2 have a transmission pan gasket
I just replaced the radiator in my 97 SL2 today. What exactly are you asking? Step by step instructions?
yes it is also the same
Go to http://www.nhtsa.gov/and look see.
Have you call your local library. That might have one in the reference area.
Mobil 1 or dextron lll synthetic
97 SL2 does not have a change oil light. Only the red oil indicator which means you have a serious problem
No, there is not near enough room for a small block V8.
yes, been there done that works beautifully get the trans rebuilt while its out of the car itll make it much nicer ride especially if its a standard
look in the owners manual for the location of your fuse block. Once found you can find also find a diagram on each fuses location and how to change them
Depends on the year, engine, and tranny type. Not all with interchange
either the kick panel or on the starter itself. sometimes ther are 2 of them
follow the positive battery cable to the starter.
Look at the oil filler cap. My 97 SL2 says 5W-30.
'97 sunfire axle nut is 195 ft-lbs. Should be the same for Saturn
The only hard part is the EGR valve assembly. The head on the newer Saturn is slightly different, making it necessary to find a work-around for the EGR valve.
The bearing at the wheel end of the shaft is probably crackede or broken. Replace it.
there is on a 97 Saturn sc1.. my car wouldn't start, wouldn't turn over, would even click. I checked my fuses and sure enough, it was only a blown fuse on the inside fuse box located on the center console on the passenger side by their feet.
I have the same problem with my 99 SL2. No clue what is wrong.
Remove a battery connector. Remove the starter and put another in it's place.
How do you replace a 2004 Audi a6 quattro 2.7t starter?
I've done this on a '97 SC2, alot of it is done by feel. If you have a small mechanics mirror that is helpful to get your bearing on the location. Otherwise run your finger around the lip of the starter to the top. You'll feel the head of the bolt. You will need an extension on the rachet to reach the bolt and will have to slide it in at the top from the free end of the starter. It will take alot of short turns to back it out because your space is limited. Good luck.
disconnect battery. remove cables at the starter. remove starter mount bolts. remove starter. replace starter. reinstall bolts. reinstall wires. reinstall battery cable.
Did you get a 4 wheel alignment AFTER you lowered it? You upset the geometry by lowering the car. Get a 4 wheel alignment and see what that does.
