How hard is to replace a throttle position sensor and where is it located on a 96 Chrysler Sebring Convrtible?
It is attached to the throttle body opposite of where the throttle cable attaches. You need a torx screwdriver, I'm not exactly sure of the size. the sensor is spring loaded and you must fit the tab inside the notches in the throttle body and slightly rotate it to the correct position and then replace the screws. You might need to have a scantool to reset the sensor in the computer but I'm not fully…
The cost to replace the throttle position sensor on a 1999 Jetta depends on whether the engine is gas or diesel. The gas engine throttle position sensor will cost around $100 just for the part. The diesel engine part is slightly higher. Labor costs are around $75 to $100 per hour depending on where the vehicle will be serviced. This job should take about one hour.
On the side of the throttle body opposite where the throttle cable connects. In other words the side of the throttle body facing the fire wall. You will probably have to remove the throttle body itself to replace the sensor as the screws that hold it to the throttle body are vary difficult to loosen.
Unplug the electrical harness from the Throttle body, it's the side opposite of the circular spring and throttle cable assembly. The Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) is the grey and black plastic item the harness is connected to. It is held in with two small, Phillips head screws. Just remove the screws and it will pull right off.

1995 aurora when you press on the gas at idle it goes past 2 rpm and will not come back down someone help please?
Perhaps throttle plate (in throttle body) is sticking Also could be the throttle position sensor or the idle position sensor and could be the throttle cable --if you have used any fuel enhancers it gums up the throttle position sensor and it will stick. Had the same issue with 1996 -its the senors in your transmission-has 2 -need to put on diagnostics for which is causing it and then to replace parts -approximate cost for…
