It is recommended that the engine be pulled out of the vehicle due to the engine crossmember being in the way. It is possible to install the oil pan gasket if you lift the engine a few inches and have real small hands do the work. Good Luck.

no, i believe the 1992 crown vic uses a AODE transmission, while the Lincoln mark viii uses a 4r70w.
Lincoln did not offer a Mark VII in 1993.. Lincoln stopped production in 1992. Then started the Mark VIII in 1993
Lincoln Mark VII Safety Air Bags need to be serviced by a professional. Do NOT take chances with this.

easy just unscrew the old one located on top and in the front of engine ...buy a new one and it comes with a new gasket and all use a permetex seal as well.
