Ok I don't know a lot about cars or the technical terms for parts, however, I did watch my uncle put my new fuel filter on, it looked pretty easy to do. If you don't already know, it's located on the back of your car by the back right wheel, it's usually gold or silver, cylinder looking thingy.He just pulled off the 2 hoses going into it on both ends, pulled it off them attached the new one. It's set up so it can only be put on 1 way, so you have the hose bringing fuel in hooked up to the right end. good luck!

open the glove box and look to the right
you have to unhook the whole filter that looks like a canister then replace it using the new copper gaskets.
i have a 2003 Pontiac grand am, no start, does not even turn over. could it be the ignition switch?

I am not an expert on the 1990 Grand Prix but on a GM product I would look for a round flasher assembly located near the fusebox downunder on the left side of the dash.
If you have not done so, replace the plugs, plug wires, air filter, and fuel filter. Also replace all under hood vacuum lines.
Did they replace the MAP sensor? If not, good chance there's your problem.
This information should be on the fan shroud.
