HUB AND BEARING (REAR)
REMOVAL
Raise the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING in the LUBRICATION AND MAINTENANCE group for the proper lifting procedure.
Remove the rear tire and wheel assembly.
If vehicle is equipped with rear drum brakes, remove the brake drum from hub.
If vehicle is equipped with rear disc brakes, remove the rear caliper from the adapter and store the caliper out of the way by hanging it from the frame of the vehicle. Refer to DISC BRAKE SHOES (REAR) in the BRAKE group for the required procedure. Remove the brake rotor from the hub.
Remove the dust cap Rear Hub And Bearing Dust Cap from the rear hub/bearing
Remove the rear hub and bearing retaining nut Hub And Bearing Retaining Nut Then remove the hub and bearing from the knuckle
INSTALLATION
CAUTION: The hub and bearing retaining nut must be tightened to, but must not exceed its required torque specification. The proper torque specification of the retaining nut is critical to the life of the hub bearing.
Install the rear hub and bearing on the knuckle. Install the hub and bearing retaining nut Hub And Bearing Retaining Nut , and torque it to 217 N·m (160 ft. lbs.)
Install the rear hub and bearing dust cap.
If the vehicle is equipped with rear disc brakes, install the rear brake rotor on the hub. Carefully install the rear brake caliper over the braking disc and install it on the adapter. Tighten the caliper mounting bolts to 22 N·m (192 in. lbs.)
If the vehicle is equipped with rear drum brakes, install the brake drum on the hub.
Install tire and wheel assembly on the vehicle. Tighten the wheel mounting nuts in proper sequence until all nuts are torqued to half specification. Then repeat the tightening sequence to the full specified torque of 135 N·m (100 ft. lbs.)
Lower the vehicle
Begin by removing the tire and wheel from your 1999 Dodge Adventure. Remove the end of the axle. Remove the wheel bearing retaining nut. Remove the wheel bearing seal and remove the wheel bearing. Reverse the process to install your new wheel bearing.
The front spindle must be removed as the bearing is pressed in. Not a job for a beginner, but if you have some auto expertise, not too difficult...

Incorrect packing of bearing grease or incorrect torque. Also make sure to replace the bearing race, as it may be scored. CORRECT ANSWER- you need to replace the knuckle and the wheel bearing

this has to do with the sensor in the wheel bearing, unfortunatly the sensor and wheel bearing are one unit. first you have to find out which wheel bearing it is and then replace it, these can be expensive. I've had to replace both of mine within months of each other. take it to get a diagnostic done they can tell you which bearing it is.hope this helps
